ImportantHigh-voltage battery — cell-module voltage loss, fire risk
Individual cell modules (LG Energy Solution) of the high-voltage battery can lose voltage → thermal overload, fire not ruled out. Early signs: loss of range or power. e-tron / e-tron Sportback built 16.03.2018–11.03.2022; 1,453 cars in Germany. Not the Q4, Q8 or e-tron GT.
Check: Check by VIN whether action 93U9/93V2 (KBA 013462) has been done. Watch for loss of range or power; charge to 80 % max until checked.
Coverage: Monitored recall: the high-voltage battery is checked and battery modules are replaced free of charge where needed. Status by VIN at an Audi dealer.

EV details
Distance with one ~15-min fast charge at 110 km/h (modelled).
Is it enough for your day-to-day?
One charge lasts 5 days in winter (−10 °C) and 6 days in mild weather.
Using real-world range, charged to 80 %, 10 % reserve: 257 km per charge in mild weather, 214 km in winter.
Fixed reference (roughly Munich–Berlin): leave full, arrive with a 10% reserve, and charge only what the rest of the trip needs (80% max — past that the curve goes flat). Modelled from real-world range and the charging curve.
Mild means ≈ 23 °C, cold ≈ −10 °C without pre-heating — the same for every car, so the figures compare.
What does charging cost?
| €/kWh | Full charge | per 100 km | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Home (wallbox) | €0.34 | €31 | €9.48 |
| Public AC | €0.50 | €45 | €13.94 |
| DC fast charging | €0.60 | €55 | €16.73 |
Prices from the open assumptions (adjustable in the calculator); consumption = mild real-world incl. charging losses.
Charging curve (DC)
NMC: high energy density (more range), usually charge to ~80% for longevity.
