WLTP vs. real range
The WLTP range is a lab figure. In daily use you’ll see less — but not by a flat amount, and not by the same amount on every car.
What matters
- Speed: motorway driving eats range (aero drag).
- Temperature: cold + heating typically costs about 21% (see winter range).
- Load & style: heavy and brisk = fewer km.
How big the gap really is
Instead of a rule of thumb we compute it per vehicle class, calibrated on ADAC Ecotest measurements. Across the catalogue, real range in mild conditions averages about 90% of the WLTP figure (roughly 79–93% depending on the car) — so the common “80%” rule of thumb is too pessimistic for mild conditions. It only fits in winter: the −10 °C scenario lands at about 70% of WLTP.
A single percentage for every car would still be wrong — the gap depends on efficiency and aerodynamics. The current per-segment factors are public on model health.
In Evident
Every vehicle page shows real range mild and at −10 °C. In the catalogue under Entdecken you can switch between WLTP, real and winter — the filter, the sort and the cards all follow the basis you pick. WLTP stays visible because it is the official figure; the real one is what you plan with.
